Does Childress Media provide printing services?
No, Childress Media does not provide printing services, but does provide printing coordination for clients who desire that service. Childress Media will work with a local printer of the client’s choosing to get the job printed to the client’s specifications and expectations by deadline.
How long does it take to get a printed job into my hands?
Depending on the size of the job, Childress Media requires at least two weeks to design the average job and begin the proofing process. Naturally small jobs can take significantly less time and larger or more complex jobs can take longer, but Childress Media will work with you to make sure your project is handled as expediently as possible and will let you know right away if there is a change or hiccup in the schedule. After the final proof is approved, print production time is generally driven by the printer’s schedule and can require from a number of hours to a number of days depending on project complexity, printer’s schedule, and any shipping.
What happens if I need to cancel my job after Childress Media has already started design work?
You may cancel your job if necessary, but Childress Media must charge a Kill Fee of 20% of the estimated total + actual hours already spent working on your job.
What if I discover a mistake on my job after it has been finished and delivered to me?
Mistakes happen, but it is the responsibility of the client to CAREFULLY proof their job and provide Childress Media with complete and timely feedback on all proofs. Childress Media does not send a job to final production until the client has signed off attesting that the finished piece meets expectations. Therefore, if a job goes to press with an error, all costs for correction are the client’s responsibility.
What happens to my job files after completion?
Childress Media is happy to supply all clients with a copy of their job’s electronic files either on CD, thumb drive or digital transfer for the client to keep. Childress Media will also store copies of the file and all supportive working files as well as a record of proofs on file for a minimum of one year. Before deleting any client files, Childress Media will make a fair attempt to contact the client and inquire if client desires electronic copies be sent to them. After that, security of files is the client’s responsibility.
If your job is one that might be reprinted or updated for reprint, let Childress Media know and we will be happy to store the files so that updates can be made economically and expediently.
What if my job has a very tight deadline?
If Childress Media estimates that it will be able to meet a very tight deadline, a Rush Fee of 20% in addition to the normal hourly rates may be charged.
